Skill of the Week: Box Jump

The box jump is simply put “ground to the top of the box”  Let’s break the steps down from A to Z.

First- Start with both feet on the ground, bend your knees and hips, as you jump extend your hips to full extension for maximum power and thrust.

Secondly- Land at the top of the box with your hips at “full extension”

Lastly- Drop off the box and immediately initiate step one.

Tips to good technique- Jump off the ground with “two feet”, and when you land at the top of the box make sure you have a solid landing and your hips at full extension.

Think: “Drop of the box, spring off the bottom”
